Job Title: Tourism Operations Supervisor

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tourism Operations Supervisor to oversee and coordinate tourism services within Kafue National Park. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality visitor experiences while maintaining strong alignment with conservation objectives and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily tourism operations, facilities, and visitor services
• Supervise and support staff, including training and performance management
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
• Maintain tourism infrastructure and report maintenance needs
• Analyse operational data and prepare reports
• Support marketing, stakeholder engagement, and park promotion
• Assist with budgeting, revenue collection, and financial accountability

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Conservation, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in tourism or hospitality (protected area experience is an advantage)
• Proven supervisory and customer service experience
• Valid driver’s licence (no restrictions)
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and social media platforms)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
• Knowledge of sustainable tourism and the Zambian tourism sector

Working Conditions

• Combination of office and field-based work
• Involves travel in remote areas and challenging terrain
