Job Description

The Human Resources (HR) Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes within the organization. This role manages employee relations, payroll, benefits, performance management, compliance, and HR systems to support business goals and improve organizational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business goals
  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, and offboarding
  • Administer employee benefits and ensure proper communication and enrolment
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, regulations, and internal policies
  • Handle employee relations matters, including disciplinary processes, grievances, and conflict resolution
  • Drive performance management processes, including appraisals and development plans
  • Maintain and optimize HR systems (e.g., Sage 300 People, ESS platforms)
  • Provide HR reporting and analytics to support decision-making
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Lead and support organizational change and transformation initiatives

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field
  • 5–8 years HR experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role
  • Knowledge of South African labour legislation (e.g., BCEA, LRA, EE Act)
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Sage 300 People, SAP, or similar)
